I would like to take this opportunity to comment on the uniqueness of our school.

At Innisfail State School we are devoted to the holistic development of each child – not just their academic achievement but also their emotional well being. We value the individuality and diversity that each child and each family brings to our community.

For children to achieve their full potential both academically and personally, they need to learn to be resilient, to resolve their own problems and initiate their own directions in life. Holding to this belief, our unique approach combines the You Can Do It! program and the Virtues Project. They empower children to take responsibility for their own behaviour and learning. We believe that optimum learning occurs in a safe, supportive and disciplined environment. We are proud of our innovation in this area and are considered a lighthouse school in the Tablelands – Johnstone District.
