Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L)

PublishingPageContent

Positive behaviour for Learning is a systematic approach to achieving expected behaviour standards in the school environment. PB4L is an on-going school wide approach to discipline, where there is a clear set of positive expectations and a procedure for teaching those expected behaviours. PB4L is data driven, and the implementation of new ideas and strategies for the explicit teaching of social skills is based on this data.

The purpose of school wide recognition is to acknowledge and show appreciation to students and staff who have provided positive demonstrations of the school wide behaviour expectations. This rationale provides the basis for the existence of much instantaneous, short term and long term positive recognition of students’ behaviour success including the end of year celebration.
