I warmly welcome you and your family to our Innisfail State School website. Our school caters from Prep through to Year 6 and we also offer a once-a-week KindyLinq program.
We acknowledge the traditional owners of Mamu country and their continuing connection to land, air and sea. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging who guide us with their knowledge, memories, traditions and cultures, and help to achieve the best educational, wellbeing and life outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, families and staff.
Our school is committed to working with families and community to allow every student to achieve success. Our motto is 'Working towards greater things' and we believe that coming together from the beginning and keeping together throughout each child's school journey fosters success for all our students. Parents and community members are always invited and encouraged to play an active role in their child's learning and be involved in class, school and community events. Joining our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) is also a great way to stay connected and give back to our outstanding community. At Innisfail State School we create a sense of belonging for not only our students and staff but our families and community as part of the 'Central Family'.
Innisfail State School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school. Our four school expectations are 'Act Responsibly, Act Safely, Learn and Show Respect'.
If you would like more information on joining our student focussed and supportive school community please phone (07) 4061 0333.
Kind Regards,
Ms Jemma McClafferty
Principal
